ABOUT DR. SANDRA

Dr. Sandra Harrell is a former 5-time NCAA All-American swimmer and a 2-time pool record holder at UC San Diego.

Originally from Los Angeles, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in music from University of California, San Diego. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Exercise Science & Health Promotion from Pennsylvania Western University and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of California, San Francisco with distinction and received the Distinguished Achievement Award for Academic Excellence. After her doctoral studies, she became a published academic author in the Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal. She was certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is currently a board-certified licensed physiotherapist. 

Dr. Sandra Harrell is an elite performance rehab coach and injury prevention specialist who trains high-performance athletes ranging from competitive youth and collegiate swimmers to professional endurance athletes and Ironman triathletes. Her comprehensive, metrics-driven approach focuses on biomechanical efficiency, kinetic chain durability, and premium remote performance coaching.

Her extensive coaching and clinical resume includes serving as the former performance and injury prevention coach for the NCAA Division I Men's & Women's Swim & Dive program at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB), and as a former USA Swimming Coach for Roadrunner Aquatics.

Currently, she works alongside Bakersfield Christian High School (BCHS) as their performance and injury prevention coach, while acting as a premium performance consultant for elite high school programs and USA Swimming teams nationwide.
